The US needs similar mechanisms. Sad when Germany has more protection of its constitutional order and America has so very few and mostly useless.

Germany unlike the US can and does outlaw parties that are threat to the Constitution. The problem is the AfD is the second largest party in the country, Its large but mostly powerless since no other party will form a coaltion with it and coalition governments are the only kind that get formed
