Only other thing I can suggest is making sure the DMA Mode is set to UDMA 4 under Options > Game Options for the game thats giving you trouble. Otherwise test it with different versions of OPL.

True. Is HDD (GPT/MBR) set to On under BDM Start Mode > BDM Devices then?

Try using a different version of OPL. I had the same problem with Midnight Club 3 not starting and that got it to work.
