Armchair amateur electoral politics analysis that comes to the banal predictable conclusion "Dems don't know how to win elections" = Block

Sorry not sorry
On this specific step - you're handwaving a *lot* of critically important questions. Ex post, yes, we should have done a lot of things. Ex ante, when you don't know Trump will return to power (and given how close the election was, you don't), you're crossing a lot of rubicons you don't want to cross

"The House Voted Not to Impeach President Trump"

Huh, I guess everything he's doing is okay...

I don't think low-engagement voters will necessarily interpret it that way

A Father's Day? Absurd! That will never happen - not in 34 days!

This is a very good idea so long as it doesn't end up in front of Aileen Cannon

(which is to say - I think this is smart, clever, and correct; and also we need less focus on clever legal arguments and more focus on raw power moves)

This is true

and also

The second biggest gender gap is Gen X / second biggest outlier is Gen X men - I don't think Max is wrong to note a big problem with the high proportion of shitty Gen Z men is their parents are shitty Gen X men

That the Senate Dem Leader, Whip, and Campaign Chair all voted "against" over 75% of the caucus, yet strangely all retain those jobs

MY himself seemed to indicate a 'radicalizing' moment for him (my word, not his) was having a piece spiked at Vox because, in his view, the EIC thought it was accurate but not 'nice', or something similar. He then started talking about how campus cancel culture was a threat, actually

This is an interesting application of this principle - there is, I think, a degree of both push and pull in the case of MY - as he slowly drifted in one direction his social circle also drifted, likely in response to his drift. Chicken or egg?

True. Biden should also have passed the Everyone Gets A Pony Act examinedlife.typepad.com/johnbelle/20...

I'm not sure when that chance was - Manchin and Sinema were both hard no's in 21/22

A fake no vote, using caucus leadership as cover to deceive your constituents, as your thread makes perfectly clear.

Resign. Give up your seat to someone who has the courage to fight.
