"Experience Points that you Drop on Death but can Pick Back Up" is such a tired & self-sabotaging mechanic that I cannot fathom why it has become as popular as it is. It makes absolutely no sense and makes me question the intentions of any developer that includes it.

I can't remember the last time such a good anime was brought so low by such a trash protagonist

Any time I wonder why I don't have more really close friends I just remember my multi-hour dissertations on The Strengths and Weaknesses of Each Season of MST3K vis-à-vis the Host Segments and it all starts to make sense.

Don't get me wrong: I love Monster Hunter, but there is something just inherently *wrong* with the control scheme.
I can jump back into almost any game I haven't played in years and my muscle memory is back at 100% within 30 minutes.

It will never cease to amaze me that Bandlab shut down Cakewalk many months ago but I still use it every day because all I have to do to make it work is set my computer clock back like I'm playing Animal Crossing

But that's okay, that's pretty much how it goes when I make music. If I wanted mass appeal I'd learn what a "chord progression" is instead of just slapping random notes in a synthesizer for five minutes.

I love me a classic jankfest nightmare game from the mid 2000's.

I've been using the same keyboard for 16 years. It is a miracle of keyboard manufacturing: not only does every key still work flawlessly, but none of the printing is even slightly worn. I don't know how; I use it every day.
