Finally visited the local ruined 13th century Yester Castle, of Sir Hugo de Giffard - a reputed warlock and necromancer - into the underground chamber (the Goblin Ha) and by torchlight into the "Devil's hole"!

Highly recommend it.

The Assisted Dying bill is such a tough issue -particularly the more nuanced elements of coercion & "slippery slope" - but @kimleadbeatermp.bsky.social is so excellent & the ability to choose one's death in the worst, late stages of terminal illness has been long needed in my opinion & experience.
