Lots of people choose to celebrate a person’s birthday by giving compliments and gifts. For me, those are part of birthdays, but I also like to spend that time reflecting. When I told you during our last in-person interaction at Otakon 2024 that I wanted to make myself a better person—if not for myself, for you, at least—I think that was moment I was the most honest with you. As my Dear Penelobee entries of late have shown, working on myself has not been easy. But such efforts are the mark of a true ambassador, worth infinitely more than however many titles one has or how much merch one buys to show their support. I felt the happiest when I gave you the letter from Yan (pronounced “yen”) and putting Tempest Steve and KingCobra on call with you at two separate Otakons. I would like to continue doing things like this. If my hugs can’t show my appreciation for the hard work you’ve done to make the world a better place, through your streams, voice acting and performances, then perhaps… my upcoming fan art (hopefully I’ll upload it before stream ends) might.
