I'm often asked about my research methods when preparing my non-fiction books. Like the old saying about selling real estate (i.e., Location, Location, Location), the triumvirate of writing a book begins with Research, Research, Research. Obviously, you have to write a book worth reading, but writing history means knowing enough history to write. So how do I research? Luckily, I love to learn new things. My first book was about the electrical engineer and inventor, Nikola Tesla, the publisher of which fell into my lap (figuratively speaking) because my soon-to-be literary agent focused on my career as a scientist.
