Seems pretty relevant whether what people are asserting is true or not. That's always important, in fact.

If you're at Chili's, just get the sizzling fajitas. For appetizer, entree, and dessert.

I'm not making an argument, just trying to find the finish line. If the only acceptable deal is "no deal," then this (or any) deal sucks. I'm honestly not sure how I feel about it yet.

Oh. Is anything short of deposing the president gonna be good enough?

What's a better outcome than this deal? Is the idea to take a deal like this, but just after more political damage is done to Trump?

Congrats and thank you. Important stuff

"I'm from the plorable wing of the party" is a very funny idea

Especially when there are also now videos of Trump saying "The Republicans can end this at any time (by ending the filibuster)." They got so used to just barreling forward on everything that they haven't thought through any contingencies or Plan Bs.

Yeah, I know. I'm just saying it sucks and I really wish there was a better way. There's probably not, but it's still antithetical to my personal vision of American patriotism.

This sadly reminds me of some of the pre-Dobbs convo on abortion, though. "If SCOTUS ever overturns Roe, we'll obviously have a national compromise on abortion."

And, well........

I really hope so. This is bad for the foundations of democracy -- if people stop thinking their votes meaningfully count (and they'd be right to think so), their investment in the entire experiment diminishes.

We gotta get back to a fair & square game where losing sucks but is seen as within bounds

I saw a construction crew taking apart the Brooklyn Bridge, brick by brick.

Thank you! That's super helpful.

And they weren't even friends! They met during the hunting trip.

Holy shit. Before I moved in, the building's credit was so bad that we couldn't get a loan to fix the boiler and two shareholders had to get personal loans to cover the cost. Bad stuff!

Yeah, we know those guys exist. They may be terrified to speak, but even getting them to avoid an interview is a story in itself
November 3, 2025 at 8:02 PM
Yeah, I live in one of the first coops in the city and when I first got there 15 years ago, they had negative-$5,000 in the bank. Utopia is what we make!

What are you basing any of this analysis on?

Sure.....but also no one claiming he's finished has any proof, either. It's all vibes.
