It’s certainly going to benefit the c-suites (and shareholders), and create layoffs and agency brand consolidation. That said it will only strengthen the market for independent, smaller, and more innovative offerings. This is a 1+1 =1.5 for the holdco model but much more dynamism outside.

Given the regulatory hurdles, this will still take a while. Long enough to let everyone else focus while they are bogged down in details. Also, are we thinking merger, or really an Omnicom takeover?
