Inbetween working on scenes for the Juracan short film and science videos, I've been playing a ton of Mario Kart World and Sonic Racing Crossworlds. I wanted to make this cartoon to compare them.

Inbetween working on scenes for the Juracan short film and science videos, I've been playing a ton of Mario Kart World and Sonic Racing Crossworlds. I found the two games remarkably similar yet so different, I wanted to make this cartoon to compare them. I used audio straight from my gameplay recordings of both MK World and Sonic Crossworlds on Switch 2, then animated over them. Let me know what you think!

After three days of the Network Test, it did have a couple of issues dealing with matches timing out or crashing, but the game seems like its shaping up well.

Definitely worth checking out how it reaches the finish line.

Sega clearly is putting a lot of work into this game. I do wish they had costumes for the characters, though. After playing a ton of MK World, seeing 5 identical Shadows in a race threw me off.

I love the energy of the game and all the Sonic fan service, from Sonic Adventure 2 all the way to Sonic and the Secret Rings.
