I'm interpreting your stance on this more that you don't believe a bailout will work and less that you don't think it will happen. Rational actors in the government wouldn't consider such a move, but we don't have rational actors, we have dumb idiots who will do what big tech asks for. Thoughts?

These aren't the same thing and you know it. The power dynamics and reasons for meeting are completely different.

Larry McMurtry is a treasure. My other favorite of his is Terms of Endearment.

OK I skipped the game tonight (because obviously) but what's wrong with Herbstreit? I think he's one of the best NFL color guys working today and is a highlight of TNF when the games are usually crappy. He has some old-fashioned CFB takes but those don't really come up

I was traveling in Europe in 2023 and people I was with came down with COVID, so we masked everywhere. Not only does no one mask there but we got dirty looks all over the place. Couple that with the fact that no one ever opens windows and few places have AC... it was totally bizarre.

The last Dolphins drive was conservative but encouraging

I hate to see McDaniel be the face of this failure

I love VW but I also 100% understand why some people think they're annoying. This is about as far from the punk rock ethos you can get.

Similar to the guy who says every bad thing Trump does is a distraction from some other worse unnamed thing

I love Anya Taylor-Joy but Lily Rose-Depp does great work in Nosferatu, her physical acting is incredible

I disagree, scarcity is a huge driving factor in the US for oysters. It's hard to transport oysters safely and cheaply into the heart of the country, therefore oysters are scarce away from the coasts. I can't speak for Europe, but there's a lot more coasts lol

Yes, but familiarity is downstream from scarcity. Scarce resource = higher prices = less accessibility= less familiarity.

It's not funny, its scarcity.

Not liking seafood is a possible result of growing up without exposure or access to good seafood, i.e. corresponds with lower class food choices. If I had to guess how this quiz is weighted.
