I worked with a friend on his first book. Starting on the second, just in case, had him adding texture to the first. Made the story better. I think it's necessary as he has several fulls out.

A lot of people do that, one for the tamer stuff, one for the spicy. I admit, when I went back into editing, it made me blush, but jeez, it was an interesting read!
