Don't let people or yourself call you talented. The word is a double edge sword; while it can boost confidence it can also lead to questions like 'I'm talented, but why can't I do this shit'. Call yourself 'skilled' instead; which can indicate countless possibilities of improvement.

I saw somewhere about beginner artists should stop doing lineart, which I really disagree with. Before you can even paint, you'll learn lines; that's why we mostly start with 'still life'. Instead of forcing artists to do this and that, we should just encourage them to continue improving

I decided to put up a last fan art for 2025. I always get real anxiouss whenever I do fanart. I have a bad habit of not sticking to the reference so they'll end up totally different from the character, and that makes me feel bad all the time

I had a strong urge to take my worn-out sketch book and rusted Microns/pens and draw a great art from YUN using pen and ink. It's been years since I did this, and it was a great feeling to be reminded to draw without undo and eraser. I wish I had more space for two more angels

I believe that an artist's state of heart and mind reflect heavily in their art. A happy one will portray that atmosphere while a sad one will have a melancholic/dull feel to their art. I know of someone who drawn a sad scene but you can't feel the sadness at all, its funny lol. Which one are you?

Perhaps one only become a true artist when they finally stops saying 'I hate my art', which, in my opinion, is so much harder than actually improving at art itself.

If you're a self learner and really struggling at art; give yourself a pat in the back. Most people can't do things alone, yet you're trying to improve, alone, even when no one's willing to give answers. That's one hell of a dedication. And you'll definitely see your hard work soon.

It's been about four months since I started sculpting. I've been misguided and slacked off a lot, but I can almost see the end of the tunn-- actually, there's still texturing, rigging and animation... and the weapon.... the 3d world is tough (≖_≖ )

One of the many struggles of an artist is finding reference.. Sure you can't have the perfect reference but some people just can patch many things into one (me included)... so I tried blender to make the best model for my game.. and it's hard lol.. The mesh is so delicate.... (இ﹏இ`｡)

I've been addicted to game development for the past couple of months and now on my second game. Animation really scares me. Just thinking how long 58 frames will take to render is freaking me out lol. But everything is impossible till it's done... Or so I want to believe (ง'̀-'́)ง

When I started getting serious at art I initially had 40, then it starts going down when I no longer draw the same subjects that brought people in... now I only had 9 for the longest time in X(Twitter). I don't even know if they're bots or not, but no matter... follows are a lot important than likes

I tried my hand at concept art... Though this design's been pre-determined a long time ago and is heavily influenced by personal taste, so more of an OC I guess? Let's try an illustration next.

To you, who's trying to get better at art. Please know that just being 'good' won't bring you eyes. Rather, focus on socialization and get good while you're at it or your soul will just get crushed when you realized you're already good but your numbers don't say otherwise.
