It’s a real affidavit. Whether the witness was telling the truth, who knows? There was some analysis at the time that suggested she might not be credible. But my guess is she was.

Not sure why you're blaming Garland. This affidavit was made in 2016 (before Trump was elected the first time and way before Garland was AG) and was made public then.

What happens if other countries decide the U.S. government isn't legitimate and start blowing up or seizing American ships?
If the answer is "war with the U.S.," then I'm not sure how creative the administration's argument actually is.

The thing is, MAGA has supported him because he validates their worst impulses and allows them to proudly display their racism and misogyny without fear of reprisals.
This Epstein business doesn't change that, which is why I'm skeptical it will turn any of them.

My fear is that if the 2026 and/or 2028 elections don't go his way, he will declare fraud, appoint a committee to "investigate" the "fraud" and will refuse to seat the election winners until the faux-investigation is complete (i.e., indefinitely).
What can we do PROACTIVELY to prevent this?
