oof, that sucks. yeah, you gotta be careful and vigilant of the ppl around. it's always a crapshoot with popular "memeable" characters bc they get the brunt of ooc; feels like the only thing creek is known for is "goo goo babies", you can't escape it. hopefully cingray makes it more bearable for ya

it's also very apt how this comparison fits with horny genAI images. all of it is the exact same thing

i've seen there are other cases of official female trainers too, like in the sakura laurel manga or even in the boane movie where ppl speculated the woman sitting next to tachyon in the stands was her trainer

idk maybe i wouldn't be so against self-inserts if a lot of the times they don't twist the girls' personalities beyond recognition for a man. they end up clingy, jealous, and interchangeable. it's always the same baseline "pseudo-personality" they get warped into

as much as i dislike self-inserts, i trust yuri yumejoshis way more. they're allies to himejoshi. we need more female trainer/uma. not saying women are exempt from being horny, but statistically there's less of a chance for me to see off-putting mischaracterization if it involves a female trainer

had a convo where we talked about how the most egregiously bad portrayals of umas in trainer/uma fanwork almost always come from male SI trainers treating the girls like waifus to be collected. it's always men at the scene of the crime, huh? men try not to mischaracterize women challenge: impossible

the highlight of the cecilia and kronii drunk twilight watchalong was when cece revealed that she had a huge crush on alice cullen and thinks bella should've ended up with alice... this woman is queer!!!

the contrast to teio and rudolf is so funny to me bc while rudolf obv cares, at one point teio literally had to trick her dad into spending time with her 😂
tachyon is weird and annoying but also dotes on scarlet in a doofenshmirtz-like way, placebo effecting her to sleep bc scarlet was exhausted

thinking about it, i'm so charmed at the thought of familial tachyon and scarlet...
scarlet thinking her papa is the smartest and coolest uma around and disagrees with everyone else saying she's a menace + tachyon giving scarlet preferential treatment compared to how she acts towards everyone else

s2 is THE teimaku season, so it was a pleasant surprise to see that there were crumbs even in s1. in the ED, with the other obvious couples? it's wild bc they didn't really interact significantly outside trying to convince mcqueen to join spica, but the idea that there were seeds being planted...

haha well, i've only read a couple fics so far and only one of them falls under what i just described; "stallions of symboli". the concept is essentially "uma being utilized like actual horses, not just for sport racing and farm labor, but also serving as military cavalry". i was intrigued!
