Reminds me a little of trump's first term when it came to COVID testing. They seemed to think as long as you don't test, there aren't any cases! 🙄

I love you don't even have to have Python installed. So when I make a script for one of our end users, if they have uv installed. I can send them the code, plus the pyproject.toml file, and uv.locl file and even if they don't have python installed, uv will download python itself! Nice!

You're not late, I just like playing with new projects :) You're exactly right regarding uv run. UV more generally is a "virtual environment" first mentality. You have to go out of your way to install packages into the global environment (which imo is how it should be). PLUS...

I've been using uv for 6 to 10 months. Time flies. I switched to using it exclusively about 4 or 5 months ago. I really enjoy working with it. Plus, the community and devs are active on the Astral discord server for when I've had questions.

Agreed! I use both Resolve and Blender (I also donate to the Blender project). One extra note about learning Blender. Be extra patient with yourself. Unless you've done 3D work in the past, you'll be learning both the software AND the language of 3d. Stay curious and have fun! 😊

I also love the rest of her videos and her teaching style. But it wasn't until her Hiragana/Katakana videos that I started to actually learn the alphabet.

I should probably say I don't have any financial interest in her channel. Just sharing excellent resources! 😊

ha! thanks! I work as staff at a university. So I generally learn things that "need doing" :) To that end I also do video/photo/audio editing, system administration and also some AI exploration. Certainly keeps things interesting.
