i’m not going to pretend like i haven’t occasionally had a rough go of it on this or other online platforms but one thing you’ll never see me do is write an essay about people being mean to me on the internet. why? because i’m an adult who understands that there are real problems in the world.

Me too. It’s a meditation on curiosity and acceptance I often revisit in my mind. (Also, the biologist in me loved being introduced to how social-bonding hormones are conserved throughout animalia. )
