Craftsman and Problem Solver. Also, sometimes Problem-Causer. Purveyor of dark and inappropriate humor. CIS/Het, but that shouldn't matter, should it? AuDHD, MKP
I've done that ever since my comments on a concert were overheard and used in the (major) paper's review the next day.

His first was Alan Parsons, but we're a little odd. I'm job hunting at the moment, so I do need to be careful, but we'll likely end up going. I've seen them 6 or 7 times; the first was when I was younger than him (23).

I am hoping so. I'd like to take my son.

I'm looking forward to everything about the new tour except the $750-$1500+ ticket prices (Boston).

Um, if you have no idea what they're talking about with the rest of this, you're not really in a position to judge their knowledge, are you?

This is what is in other areas called "the soft bigotry of low expectations." No one expects the Republicans to act like caring humans, so it's no surprise when they don't and people don't bother talking about it. The same dynamic is repeated all over in other circumstances, esp by the left.

I take your point. In the instances that particularly gall me, it feels like the intent is to make it sound more important and "business-y", whether or not there is a need. But in the end, just my opinion.

I really hate the tendency to verbify nouns, and vice versa. You don't "action" something, you *take action*. It's not an "ask," it's a *request". Why do people feel the need to commit acts of violence upon the language?

Nice try, but no. Until the UK betrayed the local Arab population, the Trans-Jordan area of the mandate was intended as the homeland of the Arab residents of what was to be Israel. Obviously the double-cross (in favor of the Hashemites) changed that plan in 1947.

That is the traditional breakfast for the entire (F-Sun) Thanksgiving weekend.

If it's "my party," I'll cry (if I want to).

I truly do not (and cannot) comprehend a person who is closed to all input - not like "cannot see or hear," but "refuses to take anything in." They're fully in output-mode only, and eventually that teapot runs dry, no matter how full it may have been at one point.

Buy food, pay mortgage, etc. But with less stress.
Or, as they say, "chop wood, carry water."

I roast the dark meat separately in a Dutch oven with dried fruits and Belgian ale. I can make stock from the bones, and make lots of gravy long before the first guest arrives.

I de-bone the turkey before roasting. I take the boneless breast and stuff and roast that, allowing me to make simple cuts straight through and serving stuffing and meat in one slice.

"Holy sextuplets!" I exclaimed as I opened the door. I never expected six uniform police officers to turn up at my door.

I am reminded of HR Pufnstuf, and the Magic Mushrooms 🍄, because I am old. I didn't understand it at the time, because I was young. Can I trade?
