Low tracks (whether called "remedial" or not) have once again (and again and again) been shown to lead to worse outcomes. Higher expectations, combined with strong supports for students and their teachers, are a much better choice than this educational malpractice.

kids seeing themselves and their worlds represented in literature is cool but they also need to hear themselves - their accents, their styles, their languages, their entire ways of communicating ❤️
