My fear is what exactly are they going to change FO/Coaching wise? Afraid they'll use the Mahomes injury as an excuse to just run it back. The offense has been pretty much awful all year.

Then you also have to acknowledge that losing a chunk of your staff (and inevitably some players sitting to transfer) changes Ole Miss' ability to compete too.

Ideally, the committee would be consistent and not have also screwed over FSU.

If you're gonna leave a team out because one player got injured changes the level they can compete at.

Losing a chunk of the staff that got you there certainly has a huge impact. Also, have to assume that Lane is gonna poach some kids who will inevitably decide to sit out the playoff.

So it might end up even worse than losing your starting QB
