Hi colleagues! Yesterday I've discovered that sounds from my "Wolves" sound effects library were used and credited in the film "Paraflu" (2025) by Michela de Mattei & Invernomuto. I'm so glad that my work helped release a film about nature conservation and protecting wild animals!

That is why I provide these native head and tail ambience “handles”. Also, I provide full-length 5 minutes long ambience takes for all microphone location spots to provide the full kit for building a scene in a certain location.

I’ve edited and mixed sound for dozens of films and often I’ve struggled with a lack of clean ambience before the dialogue or before a car arrives out of nowhere or after it drives away and disappears, needed at least to make a fade in or fade out for the take in the sound edit.

It’s because this idle ambience is not dead silence: there is always some water slipping through the slits of the wooden sluice gate, some pouring and dripping around, sometimes the distant roar of the bypass stream.

Action takes in both “Wooden Dam” and “Water Mill” sound effects libraries have generous “handles” of idle ambience before and after the action. About 10-15 seconds before the action start and about 20-30 seconds after the last move of a mechanism, to allow water flow calm down to idle state.
