This feels like a case where if we contend that this is vindictive prosecution, it will water down those that are wholly and explicitly vindictive prosecutions (Comey, James, whatever comes next). No doubt this is partially vindictive, but it seems like a good time for precision in our response.

I've noticed when arguing with family members that they will make an argument that appears to be in bad faith, but really is just a poorly reasoned argument (e.g. showing an out-of-context clip) the internet convinced them was a slam dunk. Extreme confirmation bias at work. Hard to discern sometimes
