Last year we spent a week in Perthshire, near Glenfarg. The cottage looked out over fields with cows and sheep.

Every time I saw this particular cow, it stared at me like this.

Sunday 28 December 1879.

As a storm raged, all passengers and crew aboard the Burntisland to Dundee train died when the 13 central spans of the Tay Bridge collapsed into the river as the train crossed.

This memorial lists the names of those known to be aboard, 146 years ago today.

May they RIP.
