The Australian Law Journal in September published an issue entirely focused on pseudolaw. There's good stuff here - but warning, everything is paywalled at the moment.

If you have academic/professional access, I recommend taking a look.

Sigh. I am attempting to work up another research project. And I want to properly explain why an Ontario lawyer cited the "Eye of Isis Treaty" as a binding Canadian legal authority.

Attached is the most coherent description I've located for the document.

(Not judicial review, tho!)

Toronto homeowner attempts to get a free house via pseudolaw goofery. Loses, of course, but the Manulife Bank exhibits the True Christmas Spirit!

Wonderfully strange cargo cult/Ponzi scheme from the depths of Bougainville, ensnaring Sovereigns and other weirdos worldwide.

I know, I know.

I shouldn't react this way.

But when I heard the suspects in the California New Years Eve bomb plot are "The Turtle Island Liberation Front", I just couldn't stop my fiendish cackling.

Wonder if they'll deploy pseudolaw.

In a "Mr. Big" investigation police go undercover and pretend to operate a criminal organization to elicit confessions from a suspect.

These are always colourful, but I've never seen one where the suspect was a Moorish Law adherent. Whattya do as a cop?

Play along!

So somebody thought it would be a great idea to celebrate the Supreme Court of Canada with an Unreal Engine 3D mopping "adventure" set in the Supreme Court of Canada building.

No. I'm not joking.

This one made me laugh out loud.

Appeal to the SCC rejected. Appeal grounds appear to be that that the ABCA judge was biased because of favouritism to the ABKB judge.

Judges are buds to judges. So no appellant can ever get a fair hearing due to judicial bias.

SCC: Nope. (Surprised?)

Brief piece by Prof. Joe McIntyre on the growing impact of pseudolaw on courts & staff & how pseudolaw represents a shift in social participation in Australian courts:

Maybe he's optimistic on his last hopeful observations?

Personally, I avoid courts.

Here's an interesting judgment. Combines COVID period antics, the dismal consequences of those, lawyer screwups, and stern judicial warnings, all round: Royal Bank of Canada v Skelly, 2025 ONSC 6622.

Abusive liens are a notorious form of "paper terrorism", especially in the US.

This author has done a nice job surveying the issue and legislative responses:

Sometimes I mourn the passing of technologies.

One example is the great dirigibles of the early 20th century.

I crave being suddenly cast in shadow. A wall of silver flows above and over me. Deep sound washes and strokes like a heavy surf.

I've discovered a very weird pseudolaw case where the pseudolaw adherent refused to take $20,000 left to him in a will.

Then he sues the executors of the estate three times, running up over $25K in expenses, and getting declared a vexatious litigant.
