Je n'avais pas vu passer ca l'année derniere. Je crois que c'est le premier portrait que je lis de JM qui est franchement juste - dans le sens de factuel. En fait, une vue très journalistique.

I am looking for congressional leaders to come out quickly and forcefully against this. We need unequivocal opposition. We need theatric demonstrations of defiance. We need to see leadership. Trump will steamroll us all if we display weakness. Where are our leaders?

Blaming Vietnam—or Canada—is like a junkie blaming the dealer. Even if those threats work and all tariffs are lowered, how many Cadillac Escalades are the Vietnamese going to buy on a $300-a-month salary?

DOGE enabling an AGI run government. And if it fails, hang tight for the aftermath. I would seriously consider leaving the US in a not too distant future … solid article by Henry Farrell.

Well, it’s pretty much it. Rich people aren’t interested in democracy because they only have one vote, same as an hairdresser. They have more power with their money.

Fascinating read. The storyline is pretty much my life background so far.
I saw it first hand - without being complicit of it. It’s very white, very male, very sociopathic. And now, in their full force, scary as shit.

What would happen if Joe Biden or any other President said Chuck Schumer isn’t Jewish?

Why won’t you cover the story?

Hitler also decided who was Jewish and who wasn’t.

He’s a demented sociopath.

Do your job.

“Crazy answer to a valid question”. Ca fait parti de l’air de notre temps.
« If Trump really wants to make a radical departure and take advantage of some of the fear he instills in people, it is not with this juvenile Mar-a-Gaza proposal. It would be to publicly call out all the parties and challenge each of them to do the hard stuff required to dig out of this hellhole.»
“Pay attention, ladies and gentlemen: This is not just about the Middle East,” our columnist @thomaslfriedman.bsky.social writes of President Trump's plan to take over Gaza. “This is also a microcosm of the problem we now face as a country.”
