Looks like somebody else failed the "Don't give Trump what he wants before Trump gives you what you want" test. Everybody has to learn this lesson on their own apparently.

Kinda weird to read this headline and know that the guy who was the single human being most invested in the metaverse and literally rebranded the company from "Facebook" to "Meta" is somehow not one of the "metaverse employees" who is about to lose their jobs.

A concern one will have when evaluating this is Shor set out to confirm his and Klein's priors. So the correct answer to "Why should we trust this data?" has to sound like "our methodology is designed to produce independent results."

An implausible claim from your investor pitch is not that.

It is going to work more than we'd like to admit. Normal people don't regard the park service as politicized and when they go to check if their local park is open they are going to be immediately greeted with propaganda in a context where they are genuinely looking for information.

This is why they are more than happy to abandon free markets once they feel confident that they monopolize state violence.

Maybe it's because of when I was born, but I struggle to imagine the average republican ever sincerely championing markets on practical or moral principles. I think championing markets appealed as rhetoric in the politics of preventing a more egalitarian social order from developing.

If the owner of this business had blamed any other tax there's no way this guy would say this.
