Raise the minimum wage to a living with increases tied to inflation. Punish employers refusing to pay minimum wage or hire undocumented workers instead of deporting workers and let the free market sort out immigration issues.

Tax yearly income over, say $1 million, at a very high tax rate and make the highest tax rate 99%.
End tax write-offs. Tax capital gains as income. Reform inheritance laws to prevent generational wealth.

Subsidize healthcare, public transit, childcare, and higher education regardless of income.

Her plans seemed pretty weak to me and largely geared towards homeowners and to the middle to upper-class. Baby steps and half-measures won't fix this country. Blame won't fix this country. Social issues won't either. We need wealth inequality fixed.

Historically, peaceful civil-obedience has been more effective against tyranny than violence, but I wholeheartedly agree with you that we need to up our game.

Or support better candidates, who have a record of fighting for struggling Americans and a track record of accomplishments rather than promises.

If we think we will vote someone in to save us we are wrong. We need to have the same kind of grassroots organizing that is working in Minneapolis, Chicago, and New York all across America. Substantial change is hard, requires all of us to do more than post or vote, and comes from the ground up.

How good they are at shaking hands and kissing babies.

Both parties are aligned with the wealthy. There are a few Democrats looking out for the rest of us. Harris isn't one of them.
February 13, 2026 at 5:29 PM
Did she mention wealth inequality? Did she visit struggling communities and listen to people's concerns? Did she seek endorsements from grassroots organizations? Did she mention that the wealthy should pay taxes like the rest of us?
Her silence spoke volumes.

She told everyone that the fight wasn't over during her concession speech. Then disappeared.

We knew Trump was bad. She didn't need to "warn" us. She needed to stand up to her corporate donors and provide substantial plans to address wealth inequality.

I held my nose and voted for her btw.

Oh, and thought only Teslas were blowing up-y.
February 13, 2026 at 5:05 PM
Not at all. She was a bad candidate because Americans are tired of Dems who only look out for the wealthy.
February 13, 2026 at 4:32 PM
I am not a troll because I want candidates that represent their constituents and not their corporate donors
February 13, 2026 at 3:27 PM
She is definitely not the answer. Where has she been the past year? She ran a terrible campaign and came across as entitled, arrogant, and blind to the economic needs of every American who isn't a wealthy donor.

He should be prodecuted
February 12, 2026 at 9:18 PM
It's great because he, his family. and his crooked friends are able to steal as much as they want from the rest of us with no consequences.

Yuck
February 12, 2026 at 6:16 PM
She's horrendous,, but not that different than everyone else in the Trump administration.
