What is the next step when Trump ignores the court, as he just did?

I live in Texas & am perplexed by how intelligent, thoughtful people around me voted for Trump. Why? I ask but the answers are about how bad Biden is, which I don’t agree. What have all of you heard? If you voted for Trump ( not against Biden) why?

Ok. One answer is obvious: people with money want to keep it while making more, so higher taxes are rejected. But it can’t be that simple (or is it?). What other variables are in play?
