Absolutely, "Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze" by "Kenneth Robeson" (Lester Dent). This book literally turned me into a novel reader. Rarely finished a book before this because they bored me. This was action & adventure like I'd never seen on the printed page. Still read these novels, I'm in my 60s.

In May 2012, President Obama visited a wind turbine manufacturer in Newton, Iowa. After his talk, he stepped into the audience to meet an elderly gent in a wheelchair, wearing a "WW II Veteran" hat. Obama thanked him for his service. Archie got up from his wheelchair to greet the President.
