I recently saw a post where someone (sadly I don't remember who) suggest that we offset "literally means figuratively" by using "figuratively" to mean literally. As in, "there's figuratively no chance the sun won't rise tomorrow". I'm all for it.

"You call me sweet like I'm some kind of cheese" has entered the chat ("Sweet Lady")

Far too few people have even heard of "39". I'm glad I'm not one of them and fully support your answer.

My logic is similar. M&Ms had a lovely tan as a kid. They pulled that to make room for blue and... checks notes... 30 years later I'm still bitter enough to eat the blue first to get rid of them.

My thought exactly. It may be a threat for others in Congress, but it's a win for the rest of us.

Some furry friends are smaller than others.

We lost the guy on the left a few days later and it still hurts 18 months down the road. Now I get especially choked up any time I read about someone losing a pet.

I'm the only one in my family who CAN'T. I am regularly mocked for that.

All blues must be eaten first before any other color. They are the abomination that kicked the One True Color, tan, to the curb. The existence of blues must therefore be minimized.

(But don't just throw them out because they are still M&Ms, after all.)

I asked a similar question that your post here really helps answer. Thanks!

"This was taking existing characters and translating them to film."

This part I get. But historical dramas and biopics get nominated for Best Original Screenplay. In those both the characters and (some form of) the story already exist. Am I missing something that makes this make sense?

Heh. I tried to avoid just that ambiguity, but I see it now, too. You can't really reconcile both the uniform and the Hawaiian shirt, but that's subtle if you're a computer.

I suspect that's why I had better luck when I asked for him in a suit. Suddenly he has a much more specific look (but still one generic enough to be common in the training set).

When I replace "Hawaiian shirt" with "suit" I generally get men in officers' uniforms, but ONE met what I asked for.

Me: A woman dressed as a soldier standing next to her husband in a Hawaiian shirt while holding their child.
