#Skritches is absolutely my favorite #actualplay #podcast. It would be even if I wasn’t on it… actually, me being on it is the closest thing to a drawback that it has!

I struggle with most #actualplay #podcasts. I enjoy #dimension20 because of the visuals and the charm of the people at Dropout, but I couldn’t get into #CriticalRole and #TheAdventureZone is fun, but I struggle to get through that. Most others don’t grab me.

3. I listen to and enjoy - immensely - every single episode of Skritches, despite the fact that I’m on it!

1. I don’t like to listen to my own work. Even when I’m editing, it’s a struggle.

2. Me enjoying work I do is… okay, I probably need a conversation with my therapist about it, but it never happens!

‘Trader Joe’s Lemon-Cream Yogurt’ doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, does it?

This joke? This is a good joke.

Too many of those are people that trusted him and others that there was no danger.

Appreciated, but I’ve also questioned that decision. I think this post helps me to kind of frame it the right way, in my mind.

Oh, it does! The game also removes death from the conversation, but characters can sustain injuries and be knocked out. I spent a lot of time determining what it would look like if pro-wrestling combat logic was how ALL real world fights went.

An uncle, two aunts (one of whom my daughter is named for), three cousins, three friends I’d run for or played RPGs with, two guys I’d met at RPG cons, an old neighbor, and two former co-workers. All people I’d laughed with, a few I’d argued with, and two I’d held while they cried. All gone.

My dude. A lot of people I know and love DID NOT survive the last time this guy was president.

I have questioned this, but I want this game to be as far from reality as I can, so I think framing it as ‘jerks too weak and fearful to fight will use guns.’
December 2, 2024 at 9:21 AM
I love this idea, if the point of a game is to have guns be dangerous. In my cartoonishly-goofy pro-wrestling based RPG, I’ve reworked the danger scale—dangerous weapons in the real world are almost useless (and used by cowards), while a knee drop or a suplex will devastate a bad guy!
