The Trump presidency is deeply embarrassing. Today, he and JD Vance, went to new lows in attacking president Zelenskyy – a true war hero. Trump and Vance looked weak. Absent their positions they are weak. Today we witnessed way beyond Nixonian abuses of power. It was Hilterian.

Zelensky found out what it was like to be a US governor in a blue state asking Trump for medical supplies during the pandemic. Or disaster relief after a wildfire or storm. It’s not his money, but he fully expects you to beg and plead for it and tell him how wonderful he is.

This morning Uganda announced a new Ebola outbreak.
The last time there was an Ebola outbreak in Uganda, the CDC worked with the WHO on helping end it.
But now, the CDC can’t even talk to the WHO.
I repeat, again and again, this is pure stupidity that will only hurt us.
