The Role of Doctors Is Changing Forever - Dr. @dhruvkhullar.bsky.social.’s article reminds that doctors should always be healers first.
“…a doctor’s every conversation is a chance to help patients see the value of science on and medicine in their lives.” www.newyorker.com/culture/2025...
The Role of Doctors Is Changing Forever

Fascinating study which shows certain medications and their effect on the gut microbiome, sometimes long after stopping the medications. It still not clear what the long-term implications of a changed gut microbiome might have on a person‘s health so you have to be cautious interpreting the data.

Today I was honored by LA Councilmember Adrin Nazarian with a proclamation that he had first intended for me at the close of his Assembly tenure. We finally met in his NoHo office, fittingly right next to a Kaiser Permanente clinic, where our paths first crossed.

Gen Z kids today suffered a trauma with the violence visited upon Charlie Kirk. Agree with his views or not, trauma knows no politics. Talk to your kids. This is real. It's not normal. Hear your kids. Don't shut them down. Let them unpack the emotions with you. Check your emotions first.

Every Step Counts. For example, even 4000 steps per day compared with 2000 steps per day was associated with substantial risk reduction, such as a 36% lower risk in all-cause mortality. 7000 was best. www.thelancet.com/journals/lan...
Daily steps and health outcomes in adults: a systematic review and dose-response meta-analysis
Although 10 000 steps per day can still be a viable target for those who are more active, 7000 steps per day is associated with clinically meaningful improvements in health outcomes and might be a mor...

Endearing photo of Armenian Church Youth Organization members in Armenia with church leaders-the resiliency of faith, the value of culture & the importance of a safe space for our youth to experience both. Let's remember, we're all in this together, paying it forward for the coming generations.

Seen yesterday on Wikipedia the ~ 15ft/5m tall late 12th century #Armenian Khachkars (cross stones) of Aparank Monastery, Üçpınar, Tercan in Erzincan Province, eastern Turkey. I was here in 2022. Even in ruins there was beauty. A 3rd fallen Khachkar symbolic of continued divide.
