@retiredami.bsky.social My dog is too big for most dog trailers, so I built one customized for her scale. She is only about 60 lbs but very tall and long. This setup lets me take her down to the river for walks now that she is too old to walk all the way down there on her own power.

We are not a big city, and people here voted roughly 50-50 D and R in the last election, but we have a big turnout filling courthouse square and both sides of the street for two blocks around the square, with most of the cars and trucks driving by honking and waving in support. #youarenotalone

It's a beautiful winter day in eastern Washington, and there is not quite enough snow here on the Columbia Valley floor for skiing, today, but it was enough to keep the trails mostly clear of other users so that I could enjoy some solitary riding in the fresh snow.

The MLK memorial, depicts a nation divided against itself with a detached portion--the one bearing his likeness--shaped to fit like a keystone, uniting the nation divided against itself. And yet he is too far in advance of where the nation actually remains, broken and divided, far behind his vision.
