Starting my indoor garden has been a source of joy this year but I'm amazed how well it's coping with the chillier weather and shorter days. This beautiful purple leafed plant has been throwing out delicate bunches of flowers for weeks now.

Eating curry and getting #xmas reading in - simple question - what's good #vegan footwear. Obvs leather shoes are out but rubber/plastic shoes are are oil based so out too. Cotton and canvas shoes are OK but only in summer - what does a vegan wear in winter?

Call out to gardeners and wine growers, maybe @nudestephan.bsky.social - I bought two dwarf Riesling grape vines (top left) which arrived bare of course so I expected no new growth until Spring. It's now producing new leaves? Is this normal or is central heating fooling it into thinking it's Spring?

It's that bi-annual ritual - up at 4AM for #TheAshes (for non-Brits that's Eng v Aus cricket). I'm old school as I refuse to pay Murdoch's schilling for a Sky subscription so it's #TMS for me. Listening to cricket on the radio though means I can get the chores done early 🧹

Long hard weeks but it feels the #SAD is starting to lift so I treated myself to an early #xmas present of a Banyan Fig #Bonsai Tree. In my #meditation space it'll remind me that keeping life small and simple leads to it's own beauty
