If they had a team of set artists that were paid and treated fairly and not just let go constantly after finished projects, I think they’d have a solid line of consistently unique skins. Artists are rushed a LOT at Riot and unfortunately it shows.

I definitely don’t think it’s any of the artist’s fault, unfortunately from what I’ve heard they pay them barely anything for skins and then fire them when they’re not needed anymore (happened to the creator of the survivor Jayce skin and many more) ultimately they’re under Riot’s thumb.

I do think genuinely that there’s also a TON of bad stigma around darker skin in china unfortunately, and a lot of League’s base and players are there.

I don’t know if it’s the artists they hire, but clearly someone in their design department is clearly pushing whitewashing.
