Enjoyed discussing 'The Ministry for the Future' by Kim Stanley Robinson with @doersandimprovers.bsky.social today. I hadn't actually managed to read the book😂 but it was great to hear everyone else's views.

Etymology of the day: ‘book’ comes from an ancient root shared by ‘beech’, a wood that people used for engraving inscriptions. ‘Paper’ comes from ‘papyrus’, and ‘volume’ is from the Latin for a ‘roll’ of parchment.

Happy World Book Day.

As St David said: Gwnewch y pethau bychain (do the little things).

We’d like to think that included:

📚 reading
📚 joining a book club
📚 supporting your local library
📚 buying a book from an independent bookshop

Loved reading 'Tir: The Story of the Welsh Landscape' by Carwyn Graves with @doersandimprovers.bsky.social. Beautiful book about the history of peoples' relationship with the land in Wales and how we might move forward in more sustainable ways.
My e-reader showing the cover of the book Tir by Carwyn Graves. It features lino cut images of trees and animals.

Speaking of books, we had a wonderful conversation about Tir: The story of the Welsh Landscape by Carwyn Graves at @doersandimprovers.bsky.social last week. Such as lovely and thought-provoking book about peoples' relationship with the land in Wales.

What are you reading?
