Hello, police? I'd like to report a robbery.

People keep asking me questions about my memo already answered by my memo.
In the memo, “Nvidia also responds to claims that the ‘current situation is analogous to historical accounting frauds (Enron, WorldCom, Lucent) that featured vendor financing and SPVs [special purpose vehicles.)’”

Coke looked at the overwhelming visceral disgust to the AI slop Christmas ad from last year and said "let's absolutely do that again this year!"

Corporations ragebaiting their customers for engagement is absolutely a thing.

8 months later this is only more true.

Yippie-ki-yay, Charlie Brown.
Hey... I'm sorry about Venom, Charlie Brown.

We lost Udo Kier today and there's just too many movies to mention, but the one that completely sticks in my brain and is one of his (forgive me) gutsiest roles was John Carpenter's Cigarette Burns.

It’s wild how because we destroyed celebrity culture tabloid journalism just kind of froze in 1999.

My mother convinced me I couldn't have a career in creative arts until I had a plan B in place for when it didn't work out.

Plan B blew up and I lost everything so I decided it was plan A or death.

Now I work my dream job and make way more money.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

Glad I built my computer when I did. RAM and SSD prices are through the roof, mostly because of the demand from AI data centers.

I can't imagine why Twitter would just roll out a "what country is this account in" feature overnight. Elon knows his army of far right astroturfing accounts are all paid foreign actors in content mills and this new feature was like pulling the curtain back on Oz.

Incompetence is my only answer.
November 23, 2025 at 6:25 PM
When people tell me they're still on Twitter, this is the pool they're swimming in. And you may think you're above it, but no one is immune to astroturfing at scale.
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

X rolled out a new feature overnight showing where accounts are based. This network of “Trump-supporting independent women” that claimed to be “real Americans” are based in Thailand.

The photos were stolen from European models & posts pushed pro-Trump lines while targeting Islam and LGBTQ people.

Somewhere Ezra Klein is saying Democrats need to run a couple anti-vaxxers in strategic states.
Anti-vaccine sentiment is now a load-bearing plank in the Republican platform.

Democrats haven’t budged on the need for school vaccine requirements since 2019—86% agree with them then and now.

Republicans have consumed so much disinformation that their support has declined from 79% to 52%.

Saw this coming. He's going to deny certain countries entry to put his thumb on the scale and make sure it's a team of white guys that win.
President Donald Trump's administration will not permit supporters from Haiti to enter the United States next summer after the nation qualified for the World Cup.

Rewatching Edge of Tomorrow and what a masterful movie this is on so many levels.

I love how every time he wakes up the first thing he sees is the poster on the side of the bus of Rita Vrataski with "Full Metal Bitch" defaced on it, and it takes on new meaning every time based what just happened.

I do think that the ecological damage argument against genAI is not sufficient on it's own, especially when we just let pass all sorts of other egregious problems, like the carbon footprint of vacation cruise liners.

You also have to pair it with "it doesn't work and only loses money."

For Christmas with friends this year I'm going to replicate the Pearce's will reading episode from Community, but instead of everyone getting their obligatory jar of cryogenically preserved semen, they're going to get a DVD copy of the 1999 horror thriller BATS.

My dumb take is that Trump envies Mamdani. Trump hates being president. He loves the corrupt money. He loves the power. He loves the immunity. He loves people kissing his ass 24/7.

But if it's between president and mayor of New York, he'd much, much rather be mayor of that city.

The only thing I ever see that escapes Twitter is people who know it's a cesspit of bots, AI and Nazis... and still can't bring themselves to leave because "that one band I like still posts there."

People are the architects of their own misery.

I can't imagine why a company that has gone all in on investing in AI would say 1/3 of their work is done by the hallucinating wrongness machine. It certainly couldn't be a total lie.

So because Annabelle appears in the two Shazam movies and Shazam is part of the Jason Momoa as Aquaman Snyderverse does that mean that Ed Warren in the Conjuring movies is also Oceanmaster?

Nuremberg trials for all these motherfuckers.
In an ICE gulag in Pennsylvania, a 32-yr-old Chinese immigrant was found dead.

ICE said he was found dead in the shower with a “cloth ligature around his neck,” implying the same thing said of Black men found hung on trees in Alabama.

But both his hands were tied.
