The vastly more important events are the weekly armory. Someone traveling to an event is already gonna have fun with side events and/or a new deck. Popularity contests will screw people from their fav deck but not from playing at all when the decks are $20.

Yes. Winning a PQ or RTN is a modest goal and it’s actually my personal goal. I have no intention of attempting to win a PT or Nationals. If I had a worlds level player as a local I would be pretty annoyed if they farmed my personal goal like an armory.

Imma be real if I won a PQ I wouldn’t want to win another. I get wanting to play with your friends but like you’ve already got your win leave the space for others. Go to your armory or play casually at the LGS for social time. I don’t feel like it is weird to say “congrats now step aside.”
