Please take a look at our collection of PDFs.

The "Print-/Distro-It-Yourself" idea is based on the power we have in numbers, to not rely on the media, social media, our or "representatives" and to actually build people power.

Remember most people are not actively resisting, we need to change that
[Image of a quarter-page flyer, available at the link in our bio]

In a box on the top left, in big letters, it says:
"Department of Oligarch Government Exploitation".
And in smaller text, still in the box, it says:
"DOGE Mag(zines)

Below that in medium size text, it says:
"A collection of flyers, posters, zines, & more, to resist the authoritarian takeover of the USA government.
Help make the resistance more accessible and visible offline...
Beyond social media bubbles, and into the streets, offices, schools, etc."

Then in bold:
"Hand-to-hand media contraband:
Outreach — Popular Education — Strategy".

On the side, written sideways going up, it says:
"Print/Distro-It-Yourself".
And it has the link, www.Linktr.ee/DOGEmag, as well as the QR code.

"Support the Resistance Movement - Spread Leaflets"

We can't emphasize enough how doing print distro:
* Reaches people who don't see or follow things on social
* Makes resistance visible offline, apart from protests
* Creates an opportunity to actually TALK TO PEOPLE, FACE TO FACE
* Inspires people
dogemag.bsky.social
Now seems like an opportune moment to ask for help in getting this poster out into the offline world - where people can encounter it on telephone poles, or in businesses, offices, etc ...

The antifa / anti-fascism lineage does go back almost a hundred years!

A poster, with the title "White Rose" in block letters at top, with a period, and directly underneath on the right side, "Celebrate People's History.

There is a light blue background, and the rest is in black and white. An illustration of a white rose in the top left, a couple illustrations of papers with unreadable writing on them (because it is too small), and in the top half are three illustrations of 'head shot' photos, each of a white man with names written underneath: W. Graf, C. Probst, K. Huber.

The center of the poster is text in a somewhat hand-written looking type of font, with a white background. It reads:
"After Hitler took power in 1933, several resistance groups fought against the regime. The White Rose was founded in 1942 and based in Munich. Its members were students Hans and Sophie Scholl, Christoph Probst, Willi Graf, Aleander Schmorell and Professor Kurt Huber. Against great odds and heavy repression, they printed six different leaflets against the Nazis, and at one point they painted slogans like "Down with Hitler" and "Freedom" in the streets.
While distributing leaflets in 1943 they were caught and later executed. Their resistance mae them legendary and gave great courage to all who opposed the Nazis.
"Support the resistance movement - spread leaflets!"
The White Rose"

At the bottom of the poster are illustrations of three more people, also all white, two men and one woman, seemingly together though only their heads and shoulder areas are visible. The woman is looking forward while the two men who are both facing towards the middle from either side, each are looking down. Presumably they are the other three White Rose members although their names are not written.

Other text appears in different places of the poster:
"What are you going to risk?"
"What would they be doing today, in the USA?"
"If not you, then who?"
"If not now, then when?"

And at the bottom, under the central text, text appears:
"Leaflets to print: Linktr.ee/DOGEmag" acc…

Do you suggest the technique of putting a container over it and drowning it in water?

It’s been…. a night.

#CDCFridayNightMassacre

I’m exhausted - physically, emotionally.
To those divisions and branches that were RIFed and that we didn’t yet highlight here, apologies. We need to take a break for the night.

All of your - all of our - work matters.
We are in this together.
dogemag.bsky.social
Yeah there's some of both probably. And also it's not just fascists we're talking about, it's what 'the right' in general thinks.

We can also point to how many dems or progressives or whatever, think Trump is fully controlled by Russia and isn't doing made-in-USA politics. Where's that come from?
dogemag.bsky.social
An alternative explanation, is because there's a huge media communications infrastructure that keep getting them to believe it.

If you look at some of the other types of things some of the right-wing people believe, that second explanation might make more sense and be more applicable.
dogemag.bsky.social
Can we think of counter examples where right wing / conservative people volunteer and put their comfort and safety at risk for something they believe in ?

I think we probably could. That's critical thinking.
Doesn't do as much for the self-flattery dimension, but that's not the top priority.
dogemag.bsky.social
If you wanted to deny the kernel of truth in what he's saying, your article might not be all that good either. Popular maybe, but that is different.

Being strategic would be acknowledging the type of rhetoric he is referring to, and not leaving all the people who don't like it to the alt right.

Turns out the anti-Tesla terrorist funders list wasn't quite the same as the newer list. Both started with Soros though, of course.
Elon Musk
@elonmusk

An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla “protests”: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America.

ActBlue funders include George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman, and Leah Hunt-Hendrix.

ActBlue is currently under investigation for allowing foreign and illegal donations in criminal violation of campaign finance regulations. This week, 7 ActBlue senior officials resigned, including the associate general counsel.

If you know anything about this, please post in replies. Thanks, Elon.

Is this the same six that Musk said were funding 'terrorist' 50501 and Indivisible? I think it starts off the same

Does that have anything to do with venture-capitalist Amy Griffin's "memoir" about MDMA therapy?

Given strong corporate backing and Oprah-plus endorsements, it now turns out it may be fictitious or stolen from someone else.

Fly the flags upside down - it is an official meaning:

"Displaying the United States flag upside down carries a singular, officially recognized meaning: it is a signal of extreme distress or dire peril."

But of course, Trumpers already did that
www.npr.org/2024/06/03/n...
The upside-down American flag goes mainstream as a form of right-wing protest
The symbol, traditionally used by seafarers as a distress call, has been wielded as a bipartisan protest. But its most visible recent uses have taken a hard right political shift.

When we don't make that clear, we can sometimes worm our way in with the MAGA crowd, hoping they don't notice what we're actually doing ;)

But with Musk gone, we've lost some of the notoriety - and some of our materials don't quite hit the same anymore.
The top half of the image is a caption bubble, with the text:

"If even a minority of people stopped paying so much attention to all the social media 'hot takes' about each day's news ... and instead were handing out resistance flyers to people who aren't already in the loop, we'd be cooked.
Instead, we've got them hooked on validation dopamine hits delivered by the algorithms. They think they're resisting, but they're actually feeding the beast.
Don't let them know about the DOGE Mag 'Print/Distro-It-Yourself' project."

The caption is coming from Elon Musk, who is in a photo from the Trump inauguration along with the owners/CEO of Meta-Facebook-Instagram, Amazon-Washington Post, and Google-Youtube.

The image is part of a quarter-page flyer with text underneath, and in bold, links to the All Of US Directory, and to independent news sources.

On the bottom left hand side of the page, there is an arrow pointing to the flyer on the right hand side, and under the arrow is the text:

"Quarter-page flyer, one of the many materials available to print & distribute from DOGE Mag's online collection:
linktr.ee/DOGEmag
Hand-to-Hand Media Contraband
Outreach • Popular Education • Strategy"
Image of magazine cover in National Enquirer-esque style.

The main photo is of one wolf aggressively baring fangs at another wolf who was the DOGE dog face imposed on it. The other smaller photo is of the four tech barons seated in the front row at Trump's recent inauguration, with their respective logos under each: Mark Zuckerberg (Meta; Facebook; Instagram), Jeff Bezos (WaPo, Amazon), Sundar Pichai (Youtube, Google), and Elon Musk (Starlink, X).

The texts on the page include:

"Bet you did notsee this coup coming" - Leon Marx

We have a flyer you can print and give to people and connect them to two directories of some good independent media!

Plus click through to the skeet and see the other indy media recommendations in the thread.

dogemag.bsky.social
The two 'starter packs' for independent media we share on our quarter-page flyer are:
movement-media.org#partners
and www.projectcensored.org/independent-...

Not quite as much space to work with in print, but this is able to reach people who aren't already seeing the social media posts.
The top third is a photo of the four oligarchs sitting in the front row of the Trump inauguration in January, with their respective companies' logos (Meta-Facebook-Instragram, Amazon-WashingtonPost, Google-Youtube, X-Starlink-Tesla).

Next in the middle third, is small text, a quote with attribution:

"We could look at any number of places that have mobilized in the face of political coups, administrative coups, however you want to categorize this when the rich and the elite simply don't care about the existing legal framework.
When you think about it in those terms, the need for mass movement — not just the movement of the already-convinced, the movement of your friends, the movement of small numbers of people, but a mass movement — comes into a different focus, and ‘How do we get to that?’ becomes a real living question and is no longer an abstraction." — Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor

The bottom third is divided into three sections, profiling links:

The problem is you can make stats say almost whatever you want.

This graph - which uses the average of 12 leading pollsters - demonstrates Trump is doing better than either Bush Jr or Obama at this point in their second term. Of course, he was out for 4 years in between, so maybe not as comparable
President Trump, Obama, Bush - Second Term Job Approval - Graph from Real Clear Politics https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/approval/donald-trump/approval-rating

It compares the approval ratings of the three most recent US presidents who had a second term. They all start above 50%, and go down, but Trump' is the one that goes down least, and he has the highest of the three as of October 9th in their respective first years. Bush's was the lowest of the three by then, and Obama's was only slightly lower than Trump's current rating.
