Trump and Republicans shut down the federal government last week, forcing our military and many civil servants to work without pay, while thousands more are furloughed.

Republicans can stop this inflicted pain and health insurance premium price spikes, but they have to agree to negotiate.

Donald Trump is calling for the arrest of an elected Illinois Governor and Chicago Mayor. Not because they've committed any crime, but because they're standing up to a lawless president.

This is straight out of his tyrant’s playbook and should concern every freedom-loving American.

As usual, Greg Abbott is an eager accomplice to Trump's wrongdoing. The illegal deployment of US troops against US citizens has never been about crime or immigration; Trump only wants to normalize the misuse of our military against his opponents.

Our Texas Guard should be serving Texans, not Trump.

Trump said he'd lower prices on day one; they increased. Then he gave Big Pharma until Sep 29 to lower drug prices to what consumers pay in other countries, or face tariffs. Big Pharma didn't lower prices. More broken promises/empty threats as manufacturers dodge accountability & Americans struggle.

With a compliant Congress ready to do Trump’s bidding, American taxpayers will soon have to open their wallets to send billions more in welfare payments to farmers for markets they lost through his unwinnable trade war.

This is on top of Trump's tariff taxes costing families $2,400 more a year.

When Republicans aren’t lying about undocumented immigrants getting taxpayer-funded health care, they’re hijacking civil servants’ emails to spread partisan propaganda.

Trump’s off-again, on-again tariff taxes are causing real damage to our economy. The chaos and uncertainty prevent businesses from investing and harm relationships with our trusted international allies.

Our economy grew at a 2.4% rate in 2024; under Trump growth has thus far fallen to 1.6% in 2025.

Each year, Congress must pass legislation to fund government operations for the coming fiscal year. However, Speaker Mike Johnson and the House Republicans are complicit in President Trump’s outrageous abuses of power and harmful policies, like his Big Ugly Bill that denies 15 million Americans health coverage and his tariff taxes that are raising costs on everything from groceries and clothes to new cars and more. Congressional Republicans’ refusal to act, as insurance premiums spike for millions of families by as much as 75%, has now forced the federal government into a shutdown.
