Transit is a wonderful public space that frees the mind of the stress of driving. The attitude sheltered suburbanites have toward transit really shows how separated from humanity they are. Just floating about in their personal pods without interaction until they reach their strip mall or garage.

The disinvestment in transit goes back several generations. One of America’s greatest problems is a system that focuses on right now/tomorrow’s news cycle instead of the future. We’re already doomed to suffer the consequences of climate change due to this mass dissociation.
