what ideals are those?

I'll pivot and instead ask why you'd support a party that even it's members no longer support? cabinet members are abandoning ship due to differing views and ideals. how can a party stand for something when their members can't even agree on what their ideals are?
December 19, 2024 at 4:41 PM
what about the liberals ideals do you support? what policies and legislation have they passed in the last 9 years that you can get behind and would be proud to put your name on?
December 19, 2024 at 3:39 PM
why would you support a losing candidate?
December 19, 2024 at 3:22 PM
I said he should step down and isn't an effective leader. this current political climate is the time for working class agendas to really come through and any chance he had, which was also small, is now nonexistent. if you want to be realistic you could admit JT and the libs are done.
December 19, 2024 at 3:17 PM
when Jagmeet brought out the teeth over the last few months it was refreshing tbh, but it's all a little too late for me and many others. he spent too long propping up Libs and trying to be a social media sweetheart, that it's sullied his reputation and chances of effectively winning an election.

his proximity to wealthy status symbols waters down any working class message he gives. the fact we are even talking about whether or not he has actually owns a maserati, rather than his policies, should be enough to show you how ineffective someone with that proximity is to a working class agenda.
December 19, 2024 at 2:43 PM
whether he owns it or not is irrelevant. his proximity to wealthy status symbols like this draws the genuine nature of his working class messaging into question. his entire brand is essentially trying to play both sides of the field, and that's a losing strategy. he's not an effective party leader.
December 19, 2024 at 2:26 PM
Jagmeet comes from money, has a biology n law degree. If he wanted to he could easily find affluent work in another field. He's not worried about his pension. However, he should step down as leader of the NDP. Maserati socialist is a hard sell, Sikh leader of a racist colonial country is even harder

if you want to die on the hill of backing the nepo baby drama teacher who's only legacy is legalizing marijuana and universally hated carbon tax, you give er. I'll have an itoadaso ready for ya when his party and base give the cons a majority on a silver platter next election.
December 19, 2024 at 1:21 PM
there are 5 major parties in Canada. why youre so set on trying to make this a 2 party system akin to the US, I will never know, but it's a losing strategy. you can vote for actual progress instead of a milquetoast status quo, but the reality is the majority are too complacent n misinformed to do so
December 19, 2024 at 1:18 PM
voting for an admin that has backed corps n markets over workers rights, failed to improve/ wont even acknowledge the declining material conditions in this country, been in office ~a decade w little to show, that both progressives n cons alike refuse to back, thats voting against your best interest.
December 19, 2024 at 1:15 PM
they didn't deliver on election reform, they didn't deliver on reconciliation, and they prop up a corporate welfare state. anything and everything they do that benefits the working class taxpayer is a watered-down NDP/Green policy.

read up and educate yourself.
December 19, 2024 at 1:29 AM
you understand that pointing the finger is not the same as providing evidence, right?

you understand how both can be true? the cons failing at campaign promises and the liberals doing the same are not mutually exclusive things, correct?

this type of rhetoric is going to lose you the next election
December 19, 2024 at 1:16 AM
election reform and reconciliation. those 2 are right off the dome. if I did some more digging i could probably give you a laundry list but you aren't funding me or feeding me so why you can do that work yourself.
December 19, 2024 at 12:17 AM
it gives citations for its claim or else it gets the hose again
December 18, 2024 at 9:32 PM
if you think this is a well working democracy you haven't been paying attention. the sentiment reeks of entitlement.

if you're against a corporate welfare state you might want to look at trudys policies and budgets over the last 9 years.
