Conflicting feelings about the sensationalization of stories like this. Yes we want all decent people to be outraged - but that seems to be the MAGA strategy as well. Create the most outrage possible to feed the base. Otherwise they would be quietly deporting unknown farm workers.

I believe they simply want “spectacle” — they wouldn’t waste their time getting their army boots dirty out in the strawberry fields where there are no outraged neighbors with cameras. Nice neighborhoods and elementary schools feed the hateful-their target audience.

Why don’t they suspend immigration hearings and/or hold them over Zoom until ICE moves on?
