I remember my brother got a cassette dub of this somehow back about 1983. We live a looong way from wherever these stores were. I really don't like ads, hate 'em actually but ~these~ ones are great!

How I'm feelin' about New Year's... pursued and desperate in a gods-help-us-all kinda way. It's midnight and the cat is neither alive nor dead, and it's the expectation of the observer that will inform what's there when the lid comes off the box. One way or the other this darkness has got to give.

Two weeks to go in 2025 and as of today a full two dozen people I have had a meaningful conversation or shared a joke with since New Year's Day have passed through. Mostly elderly folk but still. Death, be not proud.

I have a friend who is on his way to Phoenix with his teenage daughter to attend Americafest. He asked her what she would like for her birthday and this is what she wanted. He was reticent, but curious. He's led an interesting and adventurous life; evidently his daughter is cut from the same cloth.
