And from Brian Menendez, a potential solution to the framing problem.
Diagnosing Danny Jansen’s framing woes
It could be a simple fix. It could also be more complicated.

Wee, sleekit, cowerin, tim'rous beastie
Danny Jansen has a framing problem
Lowering a knee is often the solution, but this time might it be the cause?

A few years ago I wondered why Drew Rasmussen got so many grounders on his FF. Theorized it was perceptual but didn't have the vocabulary.

Think this is part of the answer. Really great article from @dolphhauldhagen.bsky.social

The #Rays sorted by their percentage of swings faster than 75 mph with results on those swings. Curtis Mead is special.

@tangotiger.com Do you have data on catcher setup position and catch point? Got a theory Jansen is letting balls travel further than usual and giving up low frames because of it. Would love to check my eyes.

Like everyone else, I also don't know how Kim's shoulder is going to respond to his rehab. Deal shape is interesting.

If he comes back great it's a one year deal for $13-$15 million, he opts out, #Rays QO him, he declines, makes a lot of money, and everyone is happy.

@benjaminsolak.bsky.social I don't think people are talking enough the interesting things Liam Coen is doing, especially but not only out of 2RB sets. Will you please?

Crazy good article here. I'm not sure we appreciate just how much the pitch movement physics at Tropicana Field might mess with hitters' heads.

Is a baseball stadium really a public cultural resource that FEMA will pay to restore? Seems like yes, probably, maybe, somewhat. #Raysup
Would FEMA cover the cost of repairing Tropicana Field?
Mayor Ken Welch believes they might.

Either it's a must-win and Bradish doesn't face Raley again, or it's not and Cano doesn't pitch the 9th down a run in the first game of a 4 game series where one win gives the Orioles the tiebreaker.

Hyde should probably pick a lane.
