Yeeeee, that fight game commentator. Anime junkie, soda enjoyer, social media surfer. Currently playing too much Salmon Run. I'll actually fill this out when the time comes, I suppose.

#salmonrun for my salmon run posts
I also want to cheat and say Yumia purely on the concept of "I like some of the bases I built"

which is technically a valid argument, but that's not the point lol.

Now to be fair, I want to say my favorite place would probably be in Sophie 2, iirc, 'cause I want to say that's the game that has landmarks *with information about the landmark.*

But I don't remember a single one of them, nor do I even know if that's the right game. Status quo.

Day 19: Favorite Area

n/a

This is a prompt that I absolutely have never thought about, largely because of the common design of "I come here to gather, and then I leave".

"There's the town, the grassland, the valley, the mountain, the lake, maybe a volcano, probably a castle..."
😂

There are a handful of other ones that cross my mind, but the only other one I would want to mention here is Zmei from Sophie 2- purely 'cause "... lol that's one of the coldest things I ever remember them doing in the Atelier series", but it was really kool in context.

*Like, it's to the point that Red/White is directly effected by that fight alone.* It's really good~

but I can't legitimately say it's my favorite 'cause my opinion is somewhat skewed away from that game solely 'cause I hate all things gacha.

After that, I'd legitimately say the Weltex fight from Forgotten Alchemy, 'cause I still wholeheartedly believe that was one of the literal-most-satisfying battles to do in the entire series- not from a mechanical standpoint, but literally for what it represents plotwise.

But, as stated in the op- that kinda feels disingenuous because I don't even remember the boss's name, if it had a name (couldn't find one from a quick search), don't really remember the context, just really remember "the lead up to it".

Still lives in my head rent free, though.

Compared to everything I'd experienced in Atelier up to that point, that was an **extremely** jarring experience, and was absolutely kool as hell 'cause "LOL WTF IS HAPPENING???"

(and I remember getting absolutely wiped first time through lol)

That fight, though, is one that I (believe I) have remembered and liked since I came across it. Really just remember the entire vibe of "oh hey, we're going to actually fight the dragon", going to the valley~~

then the screen starts violently shaking, Meruru hits the deck, and this starts blaring

Day 18: Favorite Boss Battle

"The Dragon or whatever in Meruru"***

so first and foremost, there's many asterisks to this 'cause I I've been thinking the prompt was "favorite boss *theme*" - that doesn't change my answer, but takes away my personal "belief" in my choice.

lol

Aight, that was a fun anime.

Not great, groundbreaking, nor amazing, but still good fun.

My only gripe is simply "man, I wish this wasn't this soon after Guild Receptionist, 'cause they're a cut from the same cloth."

Good times all the same, tho.

And even though I said my choice doesn't have bias- it doesn't, I just "grew up with it"- whenever someone says battle anything in terms of Atelier, Mana Khemia 2 is one of the first things to cross my mind.

So~

You have to understand (accept) that, in spite of how little I say about it now, I'm a fighting game player~

Sacred Saber is pretty much "lol who tf decided to put a Guilty Gear track in my jrpg?? 😂".
December 18, 2025 at 11:24 PM
No that's totally understandable.

At the base, some people will straight up not like the sound (style and instrumentation). And like I said, I don't even believe it really fits the idea of "Atelier";

it's just that, in context of the time, that song was a high level of "yup" to me and it's stuck.

Puzzle: "How do you get out of this puzzle?"
Solution: "Shake their hand and say gg"
