How is every dystopian surveillance/weapons company named Rohirrim Silmaril but Dungeons and Dragons can't say "hobbit"?

I'll grudgingly accept that the Black Ops and Modern Warfare games occur in the same timeline, at least. The question is, did both Modern Warfare trilogies happen or only one?

I've always been convinced that the map of the "Shattered Plains" in the first Stormlight Archive book is just a black and white microscope photo of etched steel with solid land drawn around the edges.
