He's an unreleased doll made by Takara! The only known official photo of him is a promo image for the 2000 Licca Chan Lively Mcdonald's Shop playset so there's no info on if he was ever meant to be released or if they only manufactured a small batch to be used as a photo prop

Meanwhile the vanity giftset versions of Odette and Rapunzel have imo drastically different faces from their original Fantasy Tales dolls with very different makeup, would have been nice to see that done for Clara too but I love her nevertheless

I assume this is a holdover from the basic Fantasy Tales Clara which seems to have served as the basis for their vanity giftset faces (albeit with more detail and higher quality paint application and vinyl than the basics) photos nabbed from ebay lol

Something interesting about Clara is that while the AA Odette and Rapunzel vanity dolls have pretty similar screenings to their caucasian counterparts, Clara's doll has a completely different style for her eyes than the caucasian one

Now I just need to find the AA Odette and I'll have all of the dolls in this series (though I would like to find another set of the caucasian ones NIB since I deboxed mine lol)

The fact that they didn't bother to add sculpting to at least the mid thigh of the leg and the mid-forearm of the arm is so heinous to me, like if you're gonna be cheap at least do it halfway lol
