if self hosting is available to you you should set it up, its real easy and requires something you can use as a server and a domain, thats it!

While you really shouldn't have penumbra read an NTFS drive on Linux you can just use the windows directory and it will be mostly fine

As for plugin configs you could use a symlink? Just make sure ping plugin is disabled on the Linux side

Getting people to understand federated services is the hard part really, out of your element is a really cool bridge so you can bridge messages between matrix and discord to lessen that blow

Yeah, it's great for encrypted messaging but you kinda have to pick 2 out of 3 for clients from

- has a Windows version
- has voice support
- has good UI

But it's a fun project to setup if you already have a server!
